As soldiers on the combat field, how did we define brotherhood?

What did we stand for on the field of battle? It was undoubtedly not fighting communism! We went into action because our country ordered us and answered our country’s call to duty. We would honor our oath and stand by our brothers. At some point, we needed to count for something.
