Dear Hoon Lee. I liked your essay What is Pachinko? I found the content well written, easy to follow and illuminating. Although I spend a great deal of time in Korea, and was impressed by the warmth of the people and the gracious hospitality, games of chance, or political matters were never discussed. I like the anlogy the game is fixed in favor of the house. Of course it is! But then, I have always felt that life was also a fixed game, and the player usually loses to the house; be it home, family, school, employer, love, friends, business, etc. Many come out ahead, but there is always a price to pay. Thanks for the article. I found it instructive. Regards
