Dear Ubaid: I was particularly intrigued by your scholarly essay about the origins and meaning of Islamic calligraphy. I found it well presented and researched.
I always found Arabic writing the most beautiful script of all the languages. It is as if the writer is composing a picture irrelevant to the meaning.
Of course, it takes years of study to master the art, and I am sure scholars in the art are handsomely paid to write prose in beautiful flourished script.
All religions treat the words of God as sacrosanct, and each letter and word must be perfect to effect the true meaning.
I thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. Your words have given insight into the meaning of attaining righteousness in the name of Islam. A worthy endeavor. Regards, Jerry
