Hi, Adrian. I lihked your essay on the social experiments with monkeys. Of course, we are all born with same senses and instincts, all predicated by evolution on survival and procreation. All moral and social actions are based on these two genetic manifestations. I will say that all social and moral norms are thrown out the door during, religious conversion, war, and therapy (or as you put it, mind control). Science proves the mind is both maliable and pliable. It CAN be molded to fit any circumstance. After all, history has proved humans can adapt and get used to anything. Of course it changes us, mainly for the worse. As a Vietnam veteran, I have seen these changes in men and woman put to the test. It hardly seemed possible that university educated, morally directed, and civil individuals could become beasts of inhuman proportions. And yet, they passed before my eyes. My team and I had as much to fear from our own army, as we did from the enemies trying to destroy us. Thanks for sharing. Regards
