Hi, Amanda. I liked your article on the starting point leading to happiness. Your note about gardening brought a memory from long ago. It was a small Montagnard village in Cambodia that my team and I stopped to take shelter from those who pursued us. The beautiful tribespeople welcomed us with the innocence of indigenous folk. The old women tended the rice paddies, but there was a wondrous garden where vegetables and strange berries were grown. They used the berries to make liquor, soap, and a mysterious balm that healed our wounds. For the rest of my life, I searched for those berries without success. I could not walk into a garden and think, "If I had only taken..." But what was gone was gone. Thanks. Regards.
