Hi, Andy. I enjoyed your essay on da Vinci's formula for a happy life. On a trip to Rome years ago, I visited a display of Da Vinci's Coda. There, laid out in glass boxes that I could stand over, were original pages of his ideas and drawings of inventions. What surprised me was the size of the notebooks. They were about five inches, yet the detail was incredible. His concept of flying machines, gear arrangements, and other wonders rested in front of me. What struck me the most was that Da Vinci was an artist who could translate his thoughts into images, then study the pictures and see the actual invention as it would appear when constructed. I left the exhibition thinking of the level of genius the man possessed. I appreciate this article. Thanks
