HI Anjana: I liked your article about 'Gan and its evolution over time.' It is quite technical, and leaves little room for a layman to understand the complicated theorems and equations necessary to follow the discourse. But, as a writer, I am familiar with the Markov Chain or Markov Process as it deals with probability. As you know, it describes a sequence of possible events in which the probability of "each" event depends only on the state attained by the previous event.

To me, such equations deal with the Laws of: Probability, Expectation, Total Variance, Total Covariance, Total Cumulance, and Marginal Distribution. I find such laws pertinent to the postulation of destiny, fate, chance occurrence and the paranormal. Is life always random and chaotic? Or is live ordained and purposeful? Such existential questions make for a good story with interesting events. Don't you think?

If I may, I invite you to read the first chapter of my Vietnam memoir for free at vietnamjerry.com and then scroll down to MEDIA and listen to the NPR broadcast of the the ghost story about Cpl. Cummings. All true events, and a precursor to Gan, Markov and the Laws of Probability. .Ha! Regards, Jerry
