Hi, Bob. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Yet, for all that happened to us, my buddies and I remained proud of our service and America. We saved lives, both of our brothers and Vietnamese civilians. An interesting statistic, when Vietnam veterans were asked if knowing the outcome in advance would they do it again, 73% voted "Yes!" I am included in this positive response. It is not that I liked anything about that miserable place, but without my presence others would have died. The fact I didn't remains one of my life's unsolved mysteries. Thanks again. Best regards.
