Hi, Dak. I liked your article LIV golf and the final solution. I must admire anyone who has a passion for sports, or a hobby. I am a man without single love for anything except my family and the brothers with whom I once served. My injuries on the battlefields of Vietnam prevented me from playing any sport, including ping pong. Not that I was ever into sports before the Army claimed me. Fortunately for me, my eyes managed to escape the blast that took away any semblance of elasticity in my muscles and joints, but as my good buddy, Hercules, would say, if your male machinery works, don't complain. His did for sure, but he was a giant of a man from Mexican lineage. Not that it means anything, but I thought I'd throw it in. I did know a guy who knew every major statistic about every baseball player on the planet, but he evaporated while eating in the mess hall in bum F Chu Lai. I envy those who can concentrate on sports, or a hobby, and who love the game, the players, and the outcomes. I can't. Civilians called me a loser, but my buddies would avoid taking me to sports bars during the playoffs. But I can take in a movie any time, dig into a good story of fiction, or listen to someone telling me about their lives all night. It doesn't make me a bad person, but certainly not a jock. Regards
