Hi Darren: I like your essay "He lived 3 centuries," both creative and interesting. I like you take on a simple activity and turning it into a paranormal event of strange consequences. I served in Vietnam during 1967 and 1968, before an injury made it impossible for me to continue. I am 80 years old, and I remember every event in every detail as if I was an observer looking in, instead of having lived and survived the experience. There were events that occurred defying all I ever knew. Nothing was ever what I thought. The people, places and missions I commanded seemed to exist in a mythical if not mystical land of dragons, demons and vampires, trying to destroy us. This story reminded me of one such incident. I invite you to read the first chapter of my memoir for free at vietnamjerry.com. While there, scroll down to MEDIA and press the NPR button to listen to the broadcast of Cpl. Cummings. Thanks for following me, and supporting my writing. I remain with best regards. Jerry
