I led a Special Ops team and passed through most of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia on special rescue missions. The team basically lived in the jungle for the time we were there.

My command post was Chu Lai, where in proximity of three major air bases and the command center for that theater of operations.

I served 1967 and 1968, the two years most Americans died. My injuries ended my short military career.
