Hi Dick: I always like to connect with brothers who served in Vietnam. I agree with you when it comes to family and especially our wives. Only vets understand PTSD is not an illness that can ever be outrun or out-trained. It is a permanent condition causing irrational acts, regardless our love, or the love of others.

I know, if we have lasting families, it is because of the understanding and caring of our significant others whose paitence, endurance, and sometimes thankless love allowed the blessing of her to remain at our sides. As you, my wife is an amazing woman. Of the 9-billion people on this planet, I consider myself one of the luckiest guys the universe sent this woman to me. She has been more than I deserved.

I invite you to support my writing by reading the dirst chapter of my Vietnam memoir for free at vietnamjerry.com. The story is a collection of missions that teetered on the edge of the fantastic, and the unbelievable, inasmuch as I never saw myself slowly descending into the abyss of insanity. Yet, I survived, as 58,200 of my brothers died.

Thanks again for following. Please write again, telling me of your day-to-day inasmuch, as we share a common thread that is not understandable by most. Regards.
