HI DICK: Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your words more than you know. Everyone from Nam whose lives held meaning to me is dead, even the general for whom I worked. I only wrote my memoir after his death. I do not play golf, or any sport, do not possess one hobby, and need medication to keep me focussed, contain my constant level of anxiety and hold back the night terrors manifesting in violent sleep.

I cannot give you any valid reason why my wife stuck with me. I am so sorry for my behavior. Mind you, I did go on to own and sell three different companies, saw the world, and have children and friends who love me, although, I am strange. I do not smoke, cannot drink, need to stay away from chemical substances because of compulsive behavior.

In the company of others, I am either ON or Off. When I am on, I will talk and talk until everyone is fed up with me. I could never work for anyone else, but I was a great salesman, and wonderful at a business that required working 24/7 and searching out, or manufacturing unique products.

I sold my company in 2019, avoiding the pandemic, and although the current owners want me back, my wife refuses to let me into another enterprise. So I am busy with writing. My upcoming memoir, to be published soon, will be reviewed on NPR-Snap Judgment on October 22nd. Suprise to me.

Still, I care little for the success, or the accolades. I must find purpose, or my anxiety will take over causing another breakdown. But I think you know the drill. Just saying. Thanks again for sharing.
