Do not let others or the market influence your creative spirit or what you have to say, or how you say it. You are the author and it's your voice that is unique and needs to be heard. If you want to write about fingernails when everyone else is writing about hummingbirds, this is what makes you different. From what I have read, you are an excellent writer paying attention to details, spelling, and grammar. Your story is excellent. Be original and authentic and true to your bliss. Great going.
