Hi, Elizabeth. I liked your article about living well in Mexico. I can understand the atrraction because of the lower living expenses, and of course the weather. As for me, I would not permanently leave the United States for any country. There are many communities that can be accessed for lower costs of living, only they are far from the beaten path, but not as far as Mexico. Living in a foreign country is great, until it is not great and then you need to hightail it back to the U.S. But then so would everyone doing the same thing, and the borders might be closed, bnadits could hold you hostage, there is not legal system that would honor you, and you may no longer have access to medical care or medicine. Then there is the separation from children and grandchildren. The United States is till the greatest country in the world, regardless of the politics, and it is certainly safer than Mexico. But I admire your sense of adventure. Regards
