Hi Gammons: I always admired baseball enthusiasts, because they were mentioning teams and players by name with statistics of pitching and batting averages, runs in, and other such jargon that was alien to a moron like me. I often wished I could rattle off such information, but "never happened." I came from a religious home where playing sports represented games of chess, challenging my father to facts of scripture, and memorizing large tacts of text in three languages. Yet, I still love to sit and listen to "the boys" discuss baseball. Thanks for your story. I enjoyed your writing. Best regards, Jerry
