Hi, JD. I lay out the history of the Vietnam War and what happened to my team and I in Vietnam Uncensored. But it was Eisenhower and his Domino Theory that became the impetus for the Vietnam War. It became his contention that if Southeast Asia fell to communism, so would the rest of Asia. The premise was false and set the stage for the fear-mongering of communism, and of America flexing its military might against a third world nation wanting to free itself from foreign domination. The French were resource sucking colonialists. Ho Chi Minh was an ally of the U.S. during WWII to rid the country of the invading Japanese and expected the reward of gaining self determination.
