Hi, Loren. I liked y our essay about the near death experience of Henry Rollins and the murder of Joseph Cole. Strange, they died at a time when they were determined to help Vietnam Veterans. On December 19, 1968, my team and I carried out a challenging assignment lasting a week that should have ended our lives. Of course, every day represented another opportunity for injury and death. I agree with Rollins' final assumption U.S. gun laws allow too many weapons on the streets of American cities nationwide. I know carrying a weapon adds bravado nonexistent in the unarmed. The gang that killed Mr. Cole had intentions of murder from the start. I would say it was part of an initiation with all members present. Murder comes easy if death is a way of life. Just saying. Good piece of writing. Best regards.
