Hi, Matt. I enjoyed your artilce about the fly. As a Vietnam veteran, insects usually encountered in the wilds of the US do not have incluence. I can easily tolerate the pesky creatures. In the jungles the roaches were the size of frogs, the mosquitoes would scour the screen over the bed for hours to find a place to enter, all the water holes contained leeches that left their teeth in your flesh when you burned them off, and flies were so big you could go skeet shooting when lounging around. Imagine killing a fly with an M16. Yup! These were the kind of life altering skills that were taught to me. Now, as for you and the fly, I get what your saying. My wife and daugters scream at every bug in creation. God forbid a fly gets into the house. I am suddenly on the huny for critter and cannot rest until it is either gone or dead. Otherwise, the little lady contiues to go bat-turd. Just saying. Good piece of writing though. Regards.
