Hi, Men from the Underground. I enjoyed your latest story Hell's Kitchen. I particularly like your dialogue, especially:

“HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT ME LIKE THAT SAM? WANT ME TO COME OVER THERE AND SHORTEN YOU BY HALF AN INCH?”

Ha! what a great comeback.

Where I came from, Hell's Kitchen was a place. It designated an area of Manhattan that ran from 34th to 59th streets, and 8th Avenue west to the Hudson River. The area held low-rent apartments, where men in muscle shirts played cards on corners on top of wooden crates. staring at the young girls during summer. There were idle tough-looking bulky men, smoking and shooting quarters against the walls of the apartment building, swearing, or talking about the spread on the latest baseball games.

My closest friends were men who Martin Scorcese accurately portrayed and made popular in his films, Goodfellas and Casino. He hit the nail.

Anyway, yours was a good piece of writing. Thanks for sharing. Regards
