Hi Patrcia: How nice it would be if life was being cared for, being fed, and allowed to romp and play all day. A dog seems like a good enough reincarnation, but then I would have to give up my blender concoctions, mom’s fried chicken dinners with a side if sweet-potago pie, and my brothers amazing ribs he smokes out back. Saint!s preserve me!. Nope! I would rather be human, but of course I need to be born in the US. First things first. Then, there is my first kiss, my love of jazz and blues, and my writing. Can’t forget my children and grandchildren. Now, there is something to live for. I will leave out the Sunday Times, the walks in the park, and a pastrami on rye at Katz’s deli with a side of thick waffle fries on the lower east side. Just the thought is causing me to salivate. Just saying. I liked you essay. Sweet! Thanks
