Hi, Sunny. I liked your essay on reasoning. But what thought process does one use when the decision is forced to enact in a split second? What happens when life, injury, or death hang in balance in less than a minute's thought? I am not sure what process describes an average person jumping in front of a bus to rescue someone. I witnessed average men run into enemy crossfire to save a brother. I saw brothers jump to their deaths to ensure survival of their squad. In that instant, between the light and eternity, I am not sure if it is thought or instinct that helps make the choice. I never figured it out, and yet, more than 58,000 of my brothers died on the killing fields of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Regards
