Hi, Taressa. I liked your essay about your life in the village of Volcano. The included photos displayed a wondrous place. It reminded me of an event over a half-century past. My team and I found ourselves pursued by the enemy, and we took refuge in the Annamite mountains of Cambodia. We crawled through a tunnel to find a hidden valley with a primitive tribe, and there we remained for almost a week until it was safe to depart. I often think of the place and people's solitude, peace, and beauty. It was but a brief respite from the chaos, death, and destruction that was our destiny. I returned after the war but could not find the magic we once discovered by a fluke in our escape route. Yet, your article shows that there are places on God's green earth that parallel. Thanks for sharing. Regards
