Hi Terry. Thanks for your essay on love messages to our children. I like the idea of painting a heart on your child's hand before they leave for school, and putting heart and a note on the lunch bag. I travelled a great deal as my children grew, but if I was home, I would put a secret gift in the lunch bag. It was occassionally a small five and dime store trinket, or expensive as a computer game. When my daughter got married, I went to her office and opened the desk draw she kept her lunch and put in a pair of diamonde earings. No note. She did n ot eat lunch that day, and nearly threw the bag out the following day, but decided to have the apple. And there stuck in to the shell, gleaming against the red skin were the diamonds. She didn't even think of her husband. She knew it was me. Your story reminded me of that fond moment. Regards
