Howitzer's saved my team more than once. I will not mention their accuracy. My observation came from finding out that the only thing more accurate than enemy incoming was the friendly incoming fire. But, there were occasions when the coordinates were called in, that incoming created the diversion so we could high-tail out of danger, into, as you might know, more danger.

I remember on one assignment I was told the area had been "secured." What I found, no one told the enemy. "Another oversight of Army Intelligence," I thought at the time. But, what did I know anyway? As it turned out, not much during the time I served in the Kingdom. Now, this seems to be the general opinion of my wife and kids, and most people who know me. But my grandkids think I'm a genius. Hey, I will take all the praise available, especially from life forms who are love personified.

But, I think you already know this. After all, you built a boat with the help of others. I could never have the patience, because I cannot use a single tool properly, even miter a pencil, and as the VA psychiatrist once told me, I am not a team player. Can you imagine?

Take care. I hope you are keeping our correspondence a secret, especially from that angel to whom you are married. Hey, I'm just trying to protect your "sterling" reputation. No thanks are necessary. I'm just that kind of guy.
