It seems that lacking moral character and integrity have been surpassed in pursuit of success. The current state of our world worships the dollar as if it was a god, and the means justify the extremes. The logic behind such thinking is to say, "If you don't want to do the time, then don't do the crime!"
It means, "Do whatever it takes to win. If you can't beat them with brilliance, then either dazzle them with the bull, or steal the information and deal with the consequences."
For all the high-level executives with MBA's and Ph.D.'s who are indited or part of some scam, I am wondering if there is not a course at Harvard, Princeton, Yale and other prestigious halls of higher education titled, "Winning is all that matters. Integrity, honesty, and consideration for workers and the environment mean nothing. There can be only one winner, and to be second is to lose." You think I'm wrong? Just saying
