I liked your bio-pic of Cat Stevens. Still, I think his journey is that of many proselytes who suddenly find a deity after a life of abusing themselves and others. Alcoholics, drug addicts, and convicts often turn to religion as a way to exonerate themselves and find a path that will not lead them to the grave. Often, we find born-again-converts more orthodox than those born into the faith. I found many to become the obnoxious-righteous, going around preaching all other religions are false and the followers are on a sure road to damnation. What we do know is that the Cat Stevens persona became a shroud to shield the real person behind the talent. In the end, it did not save him. Perhaps it is a lesson learned - always be yourself and stand up for who you are, not what the small minded will think.
