Nicole, your cake story is a blast. Loved it. Your comment on "fruit-cake" is as true as true can be. But it still can taste good with unsweetened black coffee huddled under a tent in a rainstorm, as it was in 1968 in Vietnam in the middle of who-knows-where. My buddies and I devoured a fruit case sent to one of the team for Christmas. Never tasted anything as good again. Good story. Good piece of writing. Regards.
