What does it mean to be an American?

We are a mixture of people, languages, religions, cultural differences, and uniqueness that define us. Except for the American Indians, everyone walking this great country comes from immigrant stock. That is the beauty of our country, its strengths, and to some degree, weaknesses.

Yet Americans love to laugh. We like a good joke. Understand that everything can be irreverent and want to make fun of all things.

As a rule, we are a bunch of laughing, joking, smiling people. But we are not patsies. Pick a fight with us and expect the battle to continue until someone is down for the count. We don’t give in, and we sure don’t give up. Yet, Americans love to argue, even shout our opinions, good and bad. And we think the worst of the politicians we elect. But it truly is what makes America great. I love the place.

May 2023 bring to our doors all the good things that offer us comfort, joy, laughter, and peace of mind. Let the good Lord look over our country to bless it and keep our people healthy and safe.

The world should find everlasting peace and may hunger, poverty, pestilence, disease, and war eliminate from being. We must see that each of us has greatness within and that we can create the Eden that came with creation.
