SUNDAY REMEMBRANCE MEMORIES
I often wonder about the memories my brothers and I left behind.
What footprints would define us?
In another life, we trudged across the battlefields of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia to keep us alive.
We tried to remain above the crime of battle and the slip-sliding into the insanity that manifested itself in combat.
Yet, the trauma followed us home, regardless of keeping our heads above our sinking morality.
It was hopeless to change our circumstances.
