Thanks for sharing your part of your Dad's combat experience in the Army and Korea. While Vietnam buried the Vietnam era, it still remains a s a brutal and terrible conflict. The conflict lasted three year, but in this short period 36,574 of us died, and another 103, 284 returned wounded. Unlike Vietnam the war halted the expansion of the North and established a South Korean democracy. I can understand you father's sentiments. All combat leaves and indelible mark on the souls of all those who participate. My buddies and I never quite got over it. It was the same for your dad. You should, I consider the man a hero and patriot. I appreciate your support for my writing. Best regards.
