Bi-polar is a particularly insidious illness and seldom properly diagnosed. It bring manic episodes of extreme clarity and brilliance, and depressive periods of complete inactivity. Nothing cures the problem, but some medications and routines will help. Keeping a job is impossible, and when the victim is clear there is a realization of wanting to achieve but cannot. Your brother needed a community that understood, the right medication, and financial support, because holding job is next to impossible. I am sorry for the loss of this individual.
