THE HONOR OF TRUE PATRIOTISM: SERVICE AND SACRIFICE WITHOUT EXPECTATION

In today’s world, some individuals crave attention, often through loud acts or controversial opinions. They wear outrageous outfits, perform crude stunts, or share divisive political views, all to get noticed. Social media amplifies these behaviors, making ignoring the noise dominating our feeds difficult. Unfortunately, this noise often drowns out the real value in society — the quiet, selfless acts of those who serve, work, and contribute to the greater good.

Among the silent heroes are the men and women of the United States military. The military offers no fame, spotlight, or public recognition. Service members remain united by duty and sacrifice. They follow the rules, work together, and perform courageous acts without expecting praise. Their work is not to gain followers or attention but to protect our country, families, and the ideals America stands for.

These men and women may never be seen on social media or in the news, but they are the true patriots. Their service and sacrifice make a difference every day. In a world of noise, they remind us that real heroes don’t need applause — they just need to serve.

God bless them all, and God bless America.
