What do you do with the echoes in your mind?

How did a few years in the service of our country warp fifty-five years of living?

Are we defective in that we can’t remember what happened a week ago, but every day we spent in Vietnam is like it happened yesterday?

Why are we so angry and upset at what happened to us? After all, we were there and did our best.

We did our duty and saved lives.

We stood for something.

We were proud to serve our country and still, we stand as proud Americans.
