Would you answer your country’s call to duty?

Of all that we doubted, we never thought our duty in Vietnam was safe.

We did not know the politics, although we learned private agendas corrupted them.

The idea that what we were doing was popular with the American population never entered our minds. We could care less for the war protesters back home.

We were soldiers in the service of our nation. It mattered little if it was safe, politically correct, or unpopular. We did it because we honored our oaths to the United States and our brothers.
